Goodbye? Maybe?

I have come to the realization that as much as I want to be, I'm not a blogger. I don't sit around and think about coming up with great posts. My photos are t-e-r-r-i-b-l-e! So this will probably be my last post for a while. I would much rather read blogs than write them. And they're so many great blogs out there, I just don't want to waste my time on my little mediocre one. I'm sure I will post from time to time, if I have something really great to show you, but for the most part, I think my short time as a blogger has ended. Thanks everyone. :)

The Cutest Little Notecards You've Ever Seen!

Have you been to Dawn's website? She is a totally awesome Stampin Up! demo. I love her site because she posts videos of every project she makes. I'm not quite that advanced yet. She posted a video a few weeks ago of these super cute note cards, and I just had to try them!

Aren't they super adorable! These were made using the Elements of Style stamp set. This is another one of my favorites. It's so pretty and vintage, and very versatile. After I made them I decided to make a little matching tote to put them in. You can find that tutorial here.
This would make the perfect little teacher's gift, or Just Because gift for someone.

I hope you enjoyed this little project!

Til next time,

Christy

Pretty Vintage....

I love vintage things. Pretty flowery aprons,

and rusty tin.

I try to bring this across in my cards and paper crafts. Sometimes I get it, and sometimes I don't. I made this card today on a whim, and I just love the whole vintage feel of it. I've seen lots of vintage look cards online, but honestly, there's just too much going on with them. I like a cleaner, simpler look. I think this one illustrates that. This is actually the second one I made.

This is the first one. It didn't have enough going on for me, so I added some designer paper from K&Company, then changed the stamp to something a little more elaborate.

That's the difference a little paper and a different stamp can make. :) I hope you enjoyed this post! Til next time!

Vintage Medallion Card

Oh my goodness! It's been a week since my last post. I promised myself I would post at least twice a week, but sometimes you just gotta live life.

Today's card is made using the medallion stamp (surprise!). I love the vintage look of this paper with the stamp. The flower in the middle is made from the scallop punch with a brad in the middle of it. It's super easy to do. I will post a link to the tutorial later. Youtube seems to be down. And just for the record it's not me doing the video. I will post more on that later.

The paper is (unfortunately) not Stampin Up. I bought this before I became a demonstrator, and honestly I so wish they would come out with some DSP like this because it is gorgeous. It's by K&Company, and I bought it at Hobby Lobby.

I hope I didn't ramble too much today, and I hope you enjoyed this beautiful card!
Til Next Time!

Corner Bookmark

I found the cutest idea on Splitcoast Stampers, and I had to go right then and try it out. It's a corner bookmark. I've never even seen one, but I was hooked. They are super cute! I'm trying to branch out from *just* making cards. I want to make lots of different things, and these are a great and easy project!

This is the first one I made.

I used Whisper White card stock as the base, then Rich Razzleberry and Pumpkin Pie. The stamps is the from Vintage Vogue set. The flower is stamped in Melon Mambo. On the edge I used a Martha Stewart Edge punch. Don't you just love it?! I wish I was a better photographer. I've only got a point and shoot, so their not too great right now. Maybe when my Stampin Up! business takes off, I can get a big girl camera.

This is the second one I made.

All the paper is Stampin Up. The base is Melon Mambo. I think the DSP is from retired set called Pink Flamingo. I just love it. The edge is once again punched with a Martha Stewart edge punch.

If you would like to make these yourself, please click here. I really hope you enjoy making it!Thanks for stopping by!

Vintage Look Punched Bird Card

This is today's card. It's by far one of my most favorites! Don't you just love it?!

I love the look of anything vintage or old fashioned or antique, so when I found an awesome pack of paper that had the look of vintage wall paper at Hobby Lobby, I just had to snatch it up! The base is kraft card stock, then I made the cute frame, and added the punched bird. I love the 2 step bird punch from Stampin Up! It's one of my favorites, and the best part is it's going to be in the regular catalog! So if you would like to order one, just click the link to my web site. Your order will be shipped straight to your home. It's so easy!

I learned how to make the frame from a great Demonstrator Dawn. Click here for instuctions. She uses a butterfly punch in this particular video, but on Stampin Connect she used the bird punch.

I hope you enjoyed today's post!

It's Official! I'm now with Stampin Up!

It's official! I'm now a Stampin Up! demonstrator! I'm very excited for this new and unexpected turn my life has taken. And it wouldn't be completely honest to say I'm not scared. Because I am a little scared. I always swore that I would never sell anything ever again, because I had a bad experience one time with another direct sale company ,and I never wanted to repeat that.

But I stay at home with my kids, and I love to stamp and make paper crafts, so I thought I would give it a try. Even if it doesn't work out, I still got lots of great product to work with. So If you're looking for a Stampin' Up! demonstrator, or just need to order some great crafting products, please visit my Stampin Up! site. I would greatly appreciate it!

Thank so much for taking the time to check out by blog.
